Security Considerations

dikkat

Below, you can find security considerations for a safer Internet banking experience.

Internet Branch Usage

  • If unexpected or unauthorized transactions occur in your account flow, you can call Kuveyt Türk Customer Communication Center at 444 0 123 to get information about the process and secure your account by explaining the situation.
  • Ensure that your information is not visible to anyone when logging into Kuveyt Türk Internet Branch.
  • Always use the "Logout" button to end your session in Kuveyt Türk Internet Branch.
  • According to Article 11 of the Regulation on Banks' Information Systems and Electronic Banking Services published by the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BRSA) on March 15, 2020, banks are obliged to keep records of their customers' activities. Therefore, the records of your transactions within the scope of Internet Banking are kept by Kuveyt Participation Bank.
  • When you log into Kuveyt Türk Internet Branch, if incorrect login attempts were made to your account during the day, the " Unsuccessful Logins " screen will appear. You can check these incorrect login attempts to see if third parties have accessed your accounts.
  • You can access the "Successful Logins" screen under the "Settings" menu to view the date and time of your last visits. By checking this information, you can verify whether third parties have accessed your accounts after you.

Safe Internet Usage

  • Never conduct Internet Banking transactions from public computers, as they may have software installed that secretly records your username and password.
  • Avoid using web pages offered via email or other media. Do not access Kuveyt Türk Internet Branch through redirects from different pages.
  • Kuveyt Participation Bank does not request any certification installation on your mobile phone or computer. This method may be used to send virus-containing links to your phone to access SMS password messages. Do not enter any information on such pop-up information screens on the web page.

What to Pay Attention to When Using a Personal Computer?

  • Always use antivirus software and a personal firewall on your computer.
  • Keep your operating system updated. Install the latest security patches without delay.
  • Use Windows 10 or higher operating systems for Microsoft-based systems.
  • Download software or applications only from secure sites. Scan the downloaded program with antivirus software before using it.
  • Software (crack) and game CDs purchased from individuals selling pirated programs pose a threat to you. Images containing cracked software or games may include malicious programs (Trojan, virus, worm, etc.).

What Should Be Done for Password Security?

  • Do not save your password on your computer or browser.
  • Use the "Virtual Keyboard" feature in Kuveyt Türk Internet Branch when entering your password. The virtual keyboard allows you to enter your password using the mouse without using the keys on your computer's keyboard, protecting you from many "keylogger" programs that may have been installed on your computer without your knowledge.
  • Change your passwords periodically. Records of transactions and activities you perform after logging into Kuveyt Türk Mobile or Internet Branch using your password are kept by Kuveyt Türk.
  • Follow these rules when setting your passwords. To be valid and secure, your password must have the following features:
    • It must not consist of consecutive, repeating, or easily predictable numbers (such as 123456 or 111111).
    • Your password must consist of only numbers and be six digits long.
    • Avoid using easily predictable numbers such as your Turkish ID number, customer number, phone number, or birthdate.
    • Your new password should be different from the last three combinations you have used.
